Annual Report 2020 of Aquaculture in Greece by the Federation of Greek Mariculture
The Federation of Greek Maricultures (FGM) is one the largest Associations of sea bass and sea bream farmers globally. It was founded in 1989 and currently represents nearly 80% of Greece’s production and 74% of the industry’s employees.
The purpose of this document is to give stakeholders a better insight into the sea bream and sea bass farming industry.
In 2018, 25% of the total consumption of fish and seafood by the average European Union (EU) citizen originated from aquaculture. EU aquaculture production in particular covered 10% of the seafood consumed in the EU and accounted for less than 2% of world production.

ASC standards set strict requirements for responsible farming, which encourage seafood producers to minimise the key environmental and social impacts of aquaculture.
The current eleven ASC standards cover 17 species groups

Our fresh fish is distributed in 6 or 10-kilo boxes and is available in various sizes, according to the weight in grams, ranging from 150 to 1000 grs UP.
